About

Mormon Artists Group, founded in 1999, is a collective of artists who live in New York City and are Mormon. (We are affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints only to the extent that we are members of the church.) We are approximately 50 creative artists, including novelists, poets, historians, screenwriters, playwrights, librettists, composers, painters, photographers, sculptors, architects, choreographers, and so forth.

Our activities include curating and mounting exhibitions of our works; creating collaborative projects, both between ourselves and with Mormon artists elsewhere; conducting research projects regarding LDS art; establishing and maintaining a lending library, a virtual discussion group publication, recordings, and a writer’s group; and publishing recordings, fine art, and limited editions of interdisciplinary works.
